Director of Engineering and Highways

The Town of Glastonbury is actively recruiting for the position of Director of Engineering and Highways.

Under broad direction of the Town Manager, incumbent provides technical expertise related to the engineering of Town infrastructure and manages associated capital projects.  Through subordinate division heads, incumbent directs the operations of the Engineering, Highway, and the Fleet Maintenance divisions. Responsibilities include, the design, review and inspection of civil engineering projects, the review of proposed development technical plans and specifications for conformance with Town regulations and civil engineering standards; the construction, maintenance and repair of the Town’s infrastructure system of roads and highways, drainage and roadsides; and the maintenance and repair of the Town’s vehicle fleet.
